YPA is a great organization where I have made many friends. In my role as membership chair, I hope to recruit new quality members, and to retain the great members that we already have. I will also encourage feedback from our membership in order to make our organization stronger as we move forward into another program year.

The Young Professionals of Albuquerque offers great opportunities to meet other young professionals in the local area, which can develop into great business relationships and/or a new friendships.  With all the different events that YPA coordinates, it’s easy to get involved with our community, as well as develop new business and leadership skills, all while you’re among friends and other young professionals.

Rathi Casey—Marketing Chair
When I had just moved to Albuquerque, YPA was one of the best ways for me to meet like-minded professionals in a city that was completely new to me. It has been a pleasure to meet the leaders of various industries that help make Albuquerque a unique place through community engagement, networking events and other methods of professional development. It has been a great experience and I am excited to be a part of the board this year to further develop my relationship with this city!

I have not had the opportunity since college to interact and be involved with so many like-minded individuals around my age group. YPA is an inspiring organization that has allowed me to grow professionally and personally. If you are only as good as the people you surround yourself by then I choose to be part of a group that’s going to be the future of Albuquerque.

Lindsey Seybert—Secretary
Being a member of Young Professionals of Albuquerque has opened my eyes to a whole new aspect of the city. I moved to Abq right out of college in 2013 and after 2 years of trying to find like minded individuals my age I came across YPA through a friend. I have met so many wonderful people who are motivated and want to make a difference in our community and beyond.
