Leadership
The YPA board of directors is comprised of up to 15 members who have actively served on a YPA committee prior to their nomination to the board. The board meets monthly to oversee the programming and management of the organization. The board is elected annually through a nomination process each August.
2011-2012 Board of Directors:
Megan Mayo - President
It is an honor to serve as the President of the Young Professionals of Albuquerque. I have enjoyed seeing the organization grow in its first two years and I am thrilled that we have been able to work toward our important mission for Albuquerque’s future in all that we do.
Adam Ciepiela - Vice President
I think this is a great organization that is vital to the success of Albuquerque’s future. I firmly believe that the YPA is an organization that can change the landscape of the city and provide a demographic for employers to search for future executives. Most importantly, I have a passion for YPA and the people involved!
Celia Ameline - Secretary
I believe in the mission of the YPA and want to see it continue to succeed. YPA is already a great organization and I would like to continue improving our record-keeping system and ensure that we have a solid process for recruiting and training future board members.
Jared Matts - Treasurer
My goal is to continue to develop and improve the YPA accounting system in such a way as to enhance member confidence in the information it produces.
Erin Dunagan - Civic Engagement Committee Chair
A native to New Mexico, my philanthropic priority is to utilize my expertise in the assistance of local people and organizations giving back to our community. I am truly passionate about our organization. I look forward to continuing and growing our success as civic minded young professionals.
Juanita Jennings - Professional Development Committee Chair
I have met some really amazing people through the YPA. I believe in the goals and mission of this group. I would like to contribute to what has already been set in place with and help to grow and develop the organization.
Oscar Solis - Marketing Committee Chair
I serve on the board to help further advance the mission and benefits of YPA to local professionals and our current members.
Joe Brooks - Membership Committee Chair
I have many ideas for improving the YPA and I look forward to increasing the number of new members to the organization as well as increasing involvement amongst our current members.
Alan Shettlesworth - Social/Networking Committee Chair
My goals for improving the Social Committee next year are increasing the Social Committee to ten members who are actively involved with YPA, planning one Member-Only event per quarter and continuing with the regular Monthly YPA Live After Five Mixers. We will coordinate these and other fun events in order to provide value to our membership.
Jerra Gonzales - Partnership Development Committee Co-Chair
We have begun to bring in some excellent community partners and I look forward to working with a supportive co-chair and committee to keep that momentum going.
Sergio Camacho - Partnership Development Committee Co-Chair
I am eager to continue fostering the growth of YPA and to create a better experience for the YPA members. I plan to bring a greater exposure to the YPA and increase our visibility and value to consumers and business owners for the greater good of both communities.
Jenna Frosch - Board Member at Large
My time in YPA has shown me the value of this organization and I look forward to exploring leadership opportunities on the board as a member at large.
