We believe an integral aspect of growing as a leader in the community includes an understanding of the issues and problems that surround us, but may not affect us personally on a day-to-day basis.  One of the YPA’s goals is to provide you with learning opportunities that introduce you to these issues and the organizations around our community that strive to build a better society.

Quarterly Service Projects

YPA participates in four primary civic projects/events every year, which are identified at the beginning of each program year in the fall. We strive to offer learning opportunities in addition to service projects related to the organizations that we choose to serve. In order to do so, we invite the charitable organization’s leader to speak during a quarterly luncheon.

While our primary focus is on our quarterly service projects, we are aware that there are many additional ways our members can get involved around the community.  We encourage you to get involved whenever possible and YPA will share additional opportunities as we are made aware of them.

Footprints Around the Community
The YPA is proud of the volunteers who have made a difference in our community.  These experiences for our members have not only been fulfilling, but have given them the opportunity to leave their footprints around the community and grow as leaders.  View pictures of past volunteer events (coming soon). 

Community Happenings
We strive to provide our members with information of various projects and events happening around the community.  While we as an organization cannot fit all of these into our schedules, we want you to know what’s going on so you can get involved as often as you’d like.

Suggest an Event or Community Cause
